Inspired by the poetic theme “Crimson Mountains in Late Autumn (层林尽染, Céng Lín Jǐn Rǎn)”, this Ming-style Hanfu (明制汉服, Míng zhì Hànfú) embodies the beauty of traditional Chinese landscape art — merging elegance, warmth, and festive charm.
The design references the ancient silk tapestry 《无名氏缂丝山水图》 (Anonymous Landscape Brocade), depicting rolling green mountains and crimson maple leaves woven with shimmering gold threads. The contrast of red and peacock green creates a graceful and dignified aesthetic — ideal for Chinese New Year, weddings, or other formal celebrations.
The Bijia (比甲, bí jiǎ) — a traditional sleeveless vest — is made from red wool-blend fabric with fleece lining for extra warmth. Its gold brocade mountain-and-water pattern is enhanced by applique embroidery for a rich, layered texture.
The Short Jacket (短袄, duǎn ǎo) features pipa sleeves (琵琶袖, pí pá xiù) inspired by Ming noblewear. It uses a custom “coin-flower” (铜钱团花, tóng qián tuán huā) jacquard pattern symbolising good fortune, with lotus scroll embroidery (缠枝莲纹, chán zhī lián wén) along the cuffs for elegant detail.
